Four Great Beasts Part Two

The Book of Revelation is not impossible to understand, if approached with a proper Biblical Hermeneutic it yields a wealth of information important to every Christian. In this sermon we continue to go back to Daniel to lay the foundation for our understanding of Revelation. We tend to look at great nations in awe of their accomplishments, but how does God view them? How do the four beasts relate to Nebuchadnezzars dream of the great statue? What We Believe
1. The Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, is the Word of God.
2. There is one God that exists eternally in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
3. The universe was created by God as described in the book of Genesis.
4. There was no death until Adam sinned.
5. All men are sinners in the need of redemption.
6. The second member of the Godhead, the Word of God, became the God-man of history by being born of the Virgin Mary.
7. Jesus was crucified on the cross of Calvary, and died a death he did not have to die, to pay for our sins.
8. He was resurrected on the third day showing us that He defeated death.
9. He ascended into heaven and will return bodily and visibly again.
10. Salvation is a free gift that men and women receive by trusting in the finished work of Christ.
11. The eternal security of the believer.
12. The Church consists of all those that have believed in Christ since the day of Pentecost.
13. At the end of history those that trusted Christ will spend eternity in Gods presence. Those that rejected Christ will suffer eternal punishment.
14. The church has two Ordinances instituted by Christ, Baptism and Communion.
