A mind flayer would have no interest in eating a gelatinous cube anyway, it has no brains, and makes a much better *cough cough trap cough cough* thrall tahn food. Also a mind flayer would never be stupid enough to get near a Gello cube because its far more combat efficient than the cube at ranged, but almost useless up clsoe.
so i see the comedy in this vid, but you are right. getting taht clsoe would fail.

My DM threw a mindflayer at us when we were lvl 3. It fucked our shit up. We escaped before anyone died though. Then we encountered the same one when we were around lvl 7 and fucked his shit up. It was still pretty hard though.
