Tim Thomas Disses Obama?

I was rather surprised to hear Tim Thomas refused to join his team, last year's Stanley Cup Champions, the Boston Bruins - when invited to go to the White House to be congratulated by Mr. Obamo... but I must say - I was pleasantly surprised.

Brother, I am a fellow Christian and I think your wrong here. THE BIBLE asks us to pray for the President. Other Scriptures say, "pay honor where honor is due".

Your allowing your political views effect your discernment instead of allowing the Spirit to determine your political views.

@MyMicSoundsChrist The Bible speaks of entirely different forms of governments. I have struggled a long time with our government and the politicians elected by people who blatantly oppose the ways of God - but I cannot accept that God has appointed leaders who fight for abortion, war, capitalistic greed, and so forth. I love Jesus and I know He loves all people and longs for them to come to repentance but that doesn't mean we should blindly embrace the enemies of God posing as our leaders. GBU!

@KasparHauser6 Against Perry? No - he can come join prayer and worship at my church anytime. I would open my doors to him as a loved guest anytime... but I am not for Perry as President. Nope, can't same I am.

@KasparHauser6 lol - my side? I am not a Republican or a Democrat... am independent. Why independent? Because I find NEITHER sde is very Chrstian DESPITE their claims. If you mean the Christian side, I am all for Christ - but that doesn't mean I jump on every ship crying Jesus. You know how splintered the definition of the word Christian has become.

@christoferL Ok So he believes it is a state issue not a federal one. Which is the way it is now. So with Ron Paul there will be no change and no support for a congressional constitutional amendment defining marriage as between a man and a woman. But I thought your side was for forcing such a change through congress? You are back sliding Chris. Which as an atheist is just fine with me btw.

@KasparHauser6 Maybe u should get ur info on Paul from Paul as opposed to attack videos? Paul has said he believes marriage IS between a man and a woman. He believes t is a religious institution - and he believes the Federal government should stay out of it and allow the states to decide for themselves. Its how he views the role of government, not his position on gay marriage. Maybe you should try thinking on that for a bit?
