@valen0011 thank you!

*PATIENTS BEWARE* Dr. Samuel Lam is not entirely honest and using few of his more successful cases to misrepresent himself. He is a phenomenal publicist and is extremely convincing, but don't be fooled. Its one thing to use youtube for entertainment, but another for a medical professional to exaggerate his abilities and knowledge to millions of viewers. If a plastic surgeon makes himself sound too good to be true, he often is. Don't let yourself get hurt.

Where did you have your sliding genioplasty done?
-
I had a chin implant, implanted through the mouth by a well-reccomended doctor.
It was asymmetrically placed, and 3 months later, after getting closer and closer to the gumline, finally extruded through my mouth.
The reason, is the size of the implant (1 centimter) was far too large to implant via mouth...and mouth tissues are more prone to implant extrusion. I have since settled out of court for medmal, had a sliding genioplasty done instead, recovery was almost no longer, and look great.
When will the final result of chin implant be seen (I mean after all the swelling go away)? 3 mo, 6 mo?

@CryBearARiver in my hands 90% of the result is already there in the first few weeks. close to 100% by 3 months ish.

Does the incision leave a scar?
Jewels216 2 years ago
it is placed in a natural crease so it generally does not leave a scar. however, if the incision thickens, then laser and 5-FU injections should make it flatten out.

I saw your video about chin implant and based on what I discussed with my local surgeon, he claims that all his surgeries are via the mouth so that there are no incision marks on the outside.
According to your video that is not as safe since the mouth is dirty?
Also if someone wanted to get a stronger jaw line along with the chin implant then is a silicone type product used along the jaw line?
thanks!

no, i don't want to condemn another method. just explaining why i do mine. so long as he is using an extended anatomic and not a standard button and his infection rate is low and nerve safety is high, then any method is fine. the best way to think of this implant is that it is a jawline enhancement not a chin implant. see my tutorial on that.
