Will there be Tribbles? "Star Trek" screenwriters Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci dish about how hard it is to please a Trekkie, keeping the franchise alive and getting Kirk and Spock's blessing.

  • Yeah, it's not your (or my) father's Star Trek. It wasn't perfect, but it captured the essence of the original series in my opinion. For its naysayers, I pose a single question:

Leonard Nimoy gave the okay, and believed in this movie enough to be in it after eighteen years of refusing other Spock reappearances. If it's good enough for HIM, then it damn sure better be good enough for you.

    HellsOnlyBelle out.

  • Best Trek movie ever. Can't wait for the next one. But yeah, 'epic' is the right word.

  • @SuperMrSouth oh yar it wos tot4lly teh best thing evar, tha massive mining ship with tha dude from hell, vulcan being destroyed, red mattar and kirk becoming captain for no reson, oh it wus tot4ally orsome lol

  • @reebanoomba whatever you're smoking, I want some. Whatever it is, it's good.

  • @HellsOnlyBelle we all make errors in judgement; Leonard Nimoy is not infallible, and this movie's plot was even dumber than Nemesis.

  • I only care about one big thing: when is the next intalment coming out (and does it really have to include, in any way, these irritating student dickheads?)?

They are all fair questions from a genuine Trek lover. If the current Yanks can't answer those questions adequately, then they are in massive trouble, freedome-wise They are lost.

You'd hope that they would try to become involved, and leave your to your works.

  • ditto

  • @HellsOnlyBelle

    It was perfect actually :)

  • @kellbell79 Yup I just watched Terminator Salvation. That timeline shit does mess with your mind for sure! I love The Terminator stuff. It's so epic. But I am a Trek man no doubt. It's just such a more complete universe if you know what I'm saying? I would love to have some chats with you sometime for real. You seem cool! \m/

  • @shaindaman13 It's not bitching and moaning, at least that I saw. There's nothing wrong with a little discussion. Sometimes people on the internet get up in arms about simple comments so it's nice to be able to have a friendly debate. I was just going back and forth with my brother over the Terminator timeline, with all it's timeline craziness, the other day. ;)

  • @kellbell79 Yeah, I see where you're coming from but I was thinking that was the first appearance of Nero's ship. Maybe I should just watch it again. For all my bitching and moaning about the thing, I have to admit I was in line to see it the day it opened and I have the DVD too. BTW, I think you are the first chick I've ever talked to about Trek. Kewl :)
