Hallelujah (Leonard Cohen/ Rufus Wainwright) covered by Gersing - a Burmese guy

Saw David's cover and decided to try it. I have heard this song before but thought it was a religious song. I never really paid attention to the lyrics until now. It is a really great song with a great meaning. It is hell of a long song and so exhausting to finish it. LOL I spent my whole Sunday doing this.

During his famed early gigs at the New York club Sin-e, Buckley used to break hearts with his version of this Cohen prayer. Buckley called it an homage to "the hallelujah of the orgasm" and had misgivings about his sensuous rendition: "I hope Leonard doesn't hear it." On his posthumous live album Mystery White Boy, Buckley turns "Hallelujah" into a medley with the Smiths' "I Know It's Over."
