One of the few band leaders who couldn't play an instrument.

Bauduc was an incredible 2-beat drummer. Miller is one of my all time favorites. Marvelous tenor man, but on this he's playing clarinet. One rare, rare talent.

The band was called 'The Bobcats', and he had a Dixieland group that came from it..
He featured Peanuts Hucko, Zeke Zarkey, tenor man, Eddie Miller. When he stopped with the band, it became the Lawson-(Yank)-Haggert (bass player) Jazz Band.

@turnitback It is most fair, as you've said, that "new" should not be condemned . . by anyone.

This recording and "March of the Bobcats" are among the very, very best of all time!

@turnitback I am aware that good music is always being produced, but I practically never find any good songs that were made recently...

Bing and Bob always were the masters of music. (And, sadly, they STILL are.) Even if today's music sucks, I can look back at the good stuff they left behind.
@george77772moons I have the pleasure of being able to appreciate good music regardless of when it was played or written. I love this, but I also love a lot of material written not many months ago. I do not share some people's revelling in the idea that it is virtuous to condemn anything new.

On the contrary ... this was co-written by Crosby's drummer, Ray Bauduc: this. beyond any doubt, is the definitive rendition.
