PLEASE READ:
Yes, I know this video is a super ghetto demo on how to pretend you have a killswitch. I already have a killswitch on another guitar (see the Jordan demo). Some say it is dangerous for you guitar, some say for your amp. I'm 99% sure it'll be fine on your guitar, but the amp may not be so.

How to use your cable like a killswitch so you can play Jordan better.

I don't really play it well though, lol.

  • I feel sorry for your amplifier.

  • i would assume that doing that could fuck up your guitar, wouldnt be easier just to use a button kill switch

  • Thats a TREMOLO.

  • this is bad for the guitar and amp. It'll ground out the speaker in the amp and ruin your jack in the guitar. This is a stupid idea

  • ghetto haha nice

  • killswitch got just new meaning, its switch what kills amplifier

  • i wont be trying this anytime soon, i love my amp!

  • Uhmm. There's a reason they call it a killSWITCH. This does work, but im not sure how safe it is. I remember doing this with my first guitar I ever bought. But anyway it's supposed to be a switch on the guitar that you flip up and down like a toggle switch.

  • Yay A bunch of faggots who think they know something about science and guitars. Friction that creates by pulling in and out is so small and insignificant that it would barely change the temperature of the input jack. Second input jack on guitar can be broken while doing this; as long as you do push on it. And thrirdly it's not the guitar you faggots, it's the amp that's gona get raped, rapid changes in frequencies will completely fuck up your amp.

  • Matt, you're wrong. It wont damage your guitar significantly, unless you bend it or something, and even then its an easy fix, if you're not a complete noob.

  • Only friction I can see is the ground, which wouldn't be enough to damage it unless you're jamming the cable in the jack.

The hot signal is only tapping the metal piece in the jack, so there is little-to-no friction happening there.

Even if you did damage the jack, it's only a few bucks for a new one.

And resorting to telling me I suck at guitar is instant failure at e-bitching, gg. I'm done talking to you. Upload your own video if you think you're better.
