It's no wonder that the Clash, despite the pressures of their record label, chose to take Bo Diddley on tour with them instead of a bunch of cookie-cutter English punk acts. They knew what was real!
They also played with Screamin' Jay Hawkins, which, at that time, boggled their fans' minds (and by boggled, I mean pissed them off). Joe Strummer knew good music. Hell, they even toured with Joe Ely and I automatically like anybody who even knows who any of those mentioned people are these days!
