This is my winter directing scene. We had to select a scene from a film and redirect it. My scene is from Harold and Maude. Hope you enjoy it.

  • Thank you all for the feedback and comments. This video was for a directing class in film school. We had to pick a scene from a movie that we enjoy and recreate it. We could only cast our fellow film students- that explains the age of Maude. If I were to go back and do it again, I think I would mix it up a bit- same scene- but try to NOT replicate the original- ya know... I miss working with video...

  • This was project for a directing class. The actors were my classmates in film school if that clears up why I cast such a young Maude. It was a class of about 18- and we could only cast our classmates. We had to pick a scene from a movie that we enjoy and re-create it. Looking back now- I wish that I had done something completely different- in the way of style. I miss working with video...

  • Ha. Very nice. I love this film. Good impression. She's about fifty years too young, however! But I liked it.

  • Magnificent and a direct steal from my childhood fantasies for which I intend to sue Colin Higgins for reaching into my brain whilst writing this!

  • damn.. i have a hard time explaining myself. I'm asking if it's better to just reenact a known actor's own perception of your character by mimicking their voice and style or should everyone-else (from professional to hobbyist) act the character of the same script or as actors who have their own perceptual view of the character that they see? I can't act, want to learn. working on a project for short film

  • I'm not intending to put down your performance. I applaud all from a fellow of interest in art..but does one have to portray the Arthur who's character is in a book or a spec script of ones own interpretation of the characters outer persona or should we mimic the actors in films. Because it seems the latter is almost always (pattern-visionist guess 85+% of hobbyist or low budget?.. etc) used. Don't read sarcasm into my question. It's more of seeing patterns in the direction of the last example.

  • she's uh, young. besides that I'm proud of you guys this was really well done and considering this is my favorite movie I'm glad you guys did it so well. next time get an older person but I love the fact that you guys put so much emotion into doing this and it turned out really well. very good job.

  • probaby would have worked if the guy was like 10.
