  • Aha, get it. Mainly CMOS chips (cheap to produce video recording optical chips) have this nasty feature. Now, by adjusting this roll of the shutter (increase it's speed) this rolling shutter effect can be counteracted, yet increasing (rolling)shutter speed takes away the brightness/light of the whole picture, so you'll need good exposure (lighting).
