I made an animation out of 5 frames taken by Hubble of an asteroid strike in 2009. According to NASA's description, this was unexpected. The whole sequence was take between July and November 2009

  • I thought Jupiter was made out of gas?

  • @omgodzilla10 Most of it is gas. That's what you see in the video, the gas cloud swallowing up the asteroid. However, all planets have a solid core, including Jupiter.

  • Actually Jupiter. a gas planet which with it mass it the gravitional pull is larger
