  • Schoenberg is one of the masters, of the greatest, either the Post-Wagnerian or the Atonal, Dodecaphonic Composer.

  • I surely also can understand that Schönbergs later style is felt strange or unconventional to musical traditions before. But this is - in my opinion - one of the few points in music history where a closer look could be really helpful, as Schönberg and its 12-tone-techniques are openers to a completely new way of composing, of understanding music. So just to say "I don't like that" is not just towards the music. The beauty of 12-tone-music is surely differnet, but deep and profound as well.
