How to tune from standard to ECDGAD

Here is a great tip people. If you must tune that far up on your A to play songs like For My Father, Rylynn or Keyz you should use a light guage of strings. Your A should be a .42 or lighter. Also, you can always tune a 1/2 step lower than ECDGAD, tune to D#BC#F#G#C# and then capo one fret higher than the original song calls for. This releases tension on the strings and you will be able to play everything the same, just one fret higher than before.

GuYS I HAVE A AWESOME IDEA !!!! if u want to tune A to C ,,,why not just remove the a string and ut it with a D string and drop it to A ?? :D .... a good idea for those who want to play this song very badly but u cant play anythign else other than Rylynn and related songs

Ok, but your 'B' string is tuned to 'G' in the video. It should be 'A'. Maybe you were just hitting the wrong string though? thnks fer the vid though, now i know his tuning!

i can go from standard to DADGAD no problem, im trying to figure out how to play Keys to the Hovercar by Mckee, im gonna try it, pretty sure ill pop a string cuz by guitar is old, thanks for posting this man, sure itll help!
