The Norths Devils weren't expected to do much in 1980, but they went onto win the premiership under the coaching of Kiwi Graham Lowe. They had to account for Brothers and Valleys in the semis before powering over hot favourites Souths in the Grand Final. Here's a package from their one-point prelim final win over the Ross Strudwick captain-coached Valleys. This was the infamous game where the great Wally Lewis swallowed his tongue. Rossy Henrick, Mark Murray and Mark Graham were stand-outs for Norths in this match, while 'The King' was all class during his time on the field. Check out the chants for big Zulu as he takes the ball up.
