Khutba about tests and hardships in life.

Be sure we shall test you with something of fear and hunger, some loss in goods or lives or the fruits (of your toil), but give glad tidings to those who patiently persevere. Those whom, when afflicted by a calamity, they say 'verily, to God we belong, and to Him we shall return'

    2) is another absurdity - we know that we are not the creators of the universe - infact we cannot even bring the soul back to a man who is dying. We have no control over ourselves, how could we have control over anything else.

    3) There MUST be something higher, something more intelligent that has designed and intended for all that there is. This is common sense as there is no other alternative.

If you are a true seeker of truth - think about these three scenarios.

  • @ehsanmuslima "Exposetheworld" I invite us to use common sense to evaluate creation. We have our intellects that we use at all moments during our lives. Creation is either explained by 1) Something came from nothing or 2) We are its creators or 3) There is some sort of higher being outside of what we know.

    1) Is an absurdity. We see no empirical evidence that anything can come from nothing. We know if we see a pottery at an archaeological site that is came from a people that exist

  • @ehsanmuslima And even if we don't take it then (during a hardship, calamity or even a blessing), another opportunity will come up - because this door is always open for us to take. Right until our soul reaches the throat or the day of reckoning in which no soul will be wronged in the least. "Exposetheworld" - honestly ask yourself these questions 1) who are you? 2) what is your purpose? 3) where are you going?

  • @ehsanmuslima And what other choice does mankind have? He is the Provider, the Sustainer, He provides for us breathing and we don't thank Him. The reality of our situation is that He is our God and He tells us He is Ar-Rahman and Ar-Rahim over and over again (The Most Merciful, The Dispenser of Grace). In every single situation that God gives us - there are numerous ways out and there is one way every single time that will lead to the best possible outcome for us - we either take or don't

  • @Exposetheworld There is no cruelty from God - only from ourselves. We cannot go to heaven or hell based on our good deeds or belief. There is no good deed you or I can do to make up for the numerous of blessings from God. IE just sight, our eyes. Just that blessing outweighs all good deeds we can do in return. The mercy of God is what takes us to heaven. and He tells us, to receive that mercy, you have a higher likelihood by accepting God and being obedient.

  • @Exposetheworld

Yes God created us in a 'certain' way and he made the doors open to both obedience and disobedience. Every human being is given the chance to do good or do bad. Take the example of Firown (Pharoah). He had everything he needed - was the ruler and all he had to do was acknowledge the power of Allah. Why didn't he? His own nafs (evil desires). He was given other blessings for example - a mother - so he knew love, he knew what it meant to be good - but he chose wrong _knowingly_

  • @mrAsim7 You didn't answer my question. We don't have free will since God created us in a 'CERTAIN' way in that he knows the outcome of that 'CERTAIN' way, if God created us our lives are basically a re-run of a T.V. series that God himself has already watched, why do we, the critical thinkers, rationalists and questioners have to go to hell based on belief? Why can't it be on how good we are? Furthermore, do we really have to go through suffering just to get to heaven? Why sort of cruel God...

  • @Exposetheworld

On that day we shall bare witness to everything we do, it is easy for Allah to place us in heaven and throw us in hell, but a person will wonder why such is such, also secondly, you have to go through some sacrifices and acctually undergo it for paradise right!?

  • This is...

Why does God test us even though he already knows who will pass and who will fail? There is no seperation.
