@mr02134 I disagree strongly. She is an extremely talented clarinetist who also has enthusiasm for what she plays. If you can ignore her on Youtube, why did you bother to post a comment?
I love Anat, too. I'm sure she's more marketable than the average jazz player because she's a beautiful, spirited young woman. She's also a damn good player and she brings a spirit with her that few musicians male/female have. I look forward to hearing her develop. I'm sure she's delighted to be getting a chance to play with great players and grow. What jazz player doesn't aspire to that?
Personally I'd like to see Don Byron get more due.
Continuing: But in terms of content and technique there is a lot more that she could possess. I know an extremely talented woodwind player who is the Jazz Saxophone professor at Ohio State University. His name is Shawn Wallace. He obvipously does not have the accolades that she has, but has way more to offer musically than she does. So Accoloades mean very very little in this case.
How many times have we seen a person voted a particular artist of the year and that's a shear overstatement. Now I will say that in my musical criticism of Anat it's is not a put down what so ever. I think she has a lot to aspire to as an artist which would not warrant the blanketed accololades given her.
Junto al Maestro que más se puede pedir, Anat eres sensacional, bendiciones desde Chile, el rincón del mundo. :-)
