Lt. Colonel Benjamin O. Davis, Jr. led the 99th Pursuit Squadron. He was the first black officer to solo an Army Air Corp aircraft. He and other airmen are decorated by his father, the Army's first black General, Benjamin O. Davis, Sr.

  • Im a veteran, I am african I served during the Vietnam war I am a muslim, and I have been fighting racism and discrimination all my life. This is a very touching video. They had separate ceremonies for the black soldiers I am glad that I am muslim and do not hate or love people because of there color.
