Synopsis : The Call of two young hearts smitten with love...! Prem and Suman... he, the son of multimillionaire Kishen... and she, the daughter of ordinary motor mechanic Karan... Prem and Suman run into each other and cultivate mutual liking which culminates into love. Losing themselves in the whirlwind of love-laden dreams they sing and dance, happy like skylarks with hopes verging on fulfilment. Prem's mother has already accepted Suman as her prospective daughter-in-law. However, social prejudice comes in way of Prem and Suman's love. Kishen not only injures the loving hearts, but also rudely insults Karan, his childhood friend. Love becomes a hapless victim of class differences.

Prem and Suman are torn apart. Karan takes his daughter back to the village and Prem gives up the riches of his father and follows her. An irate Karan confronts Prem and lays down the condition that unless Prem earns two thousand rupees a month on his own, he would not allow the marriage of his daughter with him. Prem accepts the condition and asserts that he would earn two thousand rupees in a month, staying right in the village. The young lovers brave the hazards and struggle hard to overcome the onslaught of class hatred and succeed in realizing their dream of love.

I love hindi films ... will all its songs and dances and foolish things...

as far as reality is concerned i see tht reality in real life ... let movies be for entertainment...

and btw ... i have seen a lot of similar hindi films ... they might not have been with songs but yeah the foolishness that you mention do exist.,...

so please decide for yourself not for masses

well i still see stupid stuff happening in hindi films which doest relates to real life scnerios. And back then 22 years if i a common man can feel it as foolish but that still happened and happening. Or it might be a requirement of other classes of people watching movies (aam janta).Its just like we have lot of song numbers but english films doesnt have and they still top the story line and objective of filming. Their films makes a lot of sense and save a lot of time.

yes she was shy but this shyness seems foolish ,,,, a typical south east asian behaviour ,,,, and me being a part of the same region felt it strange when i was only 9 yrs watching this movie, :D

she must have never worn such an off shoulder dress... which Salman shows her in the catalogue before ... thats why she was shy ....
