Eden vs. Caissie: Defying Gravity

Okay, so I really wanted everyone to read this, that's why I put it as the intro to the video. In case it's moving too fast, here's what it says: "While browsing YouTube videos...I came across smt2662's video "Eden vs. Caissie Defying Gravity Challenge." I was reading through the comments and a lot of people were complaining...they said it was unfair that it was one of Caissie's first performances, and Eden's last Broadway, so Eden had more experience. They said that Eden would obviously be better. I disagreed. Eden sounded better...well...because she is better. But, it was a little unfair. Personally, I think it's unfair to compare anyone to Eden, because she is just WAY better than everyone. But that's not the point. The point is what YOU think. So I decided to make this video, using Eden's first ever Defying Gravity, and the earliest one of Caissie's I could find. So no complaining the only reason thay Eden is better is because she was more experienced. Eden's better, because she's better...but again, that's just me. And this isn't even about me. It's about you. I want to know what you guys think. Eden? Or Caissie."

So that's the whole intro. I figured there was a better chance of everyone reading it if it was in the video. Also, this was smt2662's idea. I'm not stealing it and claiming it as my own. He or she even mentioned in the description that people could use the idea, which is what I'm doing!

I know it probably would have flowed better if I did each girl singing every other line. But I figured some lines showed off each one's voice better. Plus I like showing off Eden's voice and then having Caissie right after to compare them. And don't get me wrong. The point of this video isn't to say that Eden is amazing and Caissie stinks. It's just to compare my favorite Elphaba to the woman that replaced her. I don't think Caissie is /bad/ by any means. I don't like her, but she wouldn't have a principle role in a professional theatre if she was bad.

In my opinion, I'd choose Eden hands down over Idina (in terms of Elphaba, anyway) but thats just my opinion, Wingwongladybug34. Just because someone was in the OBC doesn't mean the others who proceeded them aren't as good if not better than they were =/ Once again, just my opinion =P

I think they sound so different that they cant be compared. Plus wasnt Eden younger than Caissie on her very first show? They are both incredible anyway :)

see...i didn't really like either of them as s/b or u/s because they had to imitate the principle, and it wasn't really them. however, when they were lead, oh my gosh, they just killed it. both were so amazing and wonderful. i loved them!!! they are soo great!!!!!!!! i can't even describe...just AHHH!!! haha. however, Eden is my number one Elphaba for reasons i'd be MORE THAN HAPPY to explain if asked. Caissie is like 2 or 3 on my list though...both are AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!­!!!!!!!!!!!!

Eden is not my favorite Elphaba, but she kicks Caissies but in this.... well everything for that matter. Caissie has a fantastic voice of course, but i like her alot more in hair. Eden could not beat Caissies Good Morning Starshine.
