Same thing happens to me with my fone, I have a motorola droid and everytime I use wifi its a lot slower for me considering the fact that the router is my bedroom. Anyways, since is I have verizon 3g it tends to load up faster by about a few seconds. Its probably because I live in massachussets and 3g is everywhere in this state

I need to know if you can always use wi-fi instead of the 3g. I'm planning to get iphone from a friend and use it with my current att simcard. Would that work or att will found that I'm doing this. I just don't want to pay extra 30 bucks a month. and use wifi for internet.

Do you need AT&T service to do wifi? Because I'm planning on getting AT&T for the iPhone 3g in 2 years when I'm 18 and I just wanna use it for wifi and music for now. PLEASE REPLY 711iphone3g711!

you're actually wrong. WiFi is the fastest type of network that's wireless. 3G is just a certain type that is the best wireless signal that is when your not still or moving in a car for example.

honestly your test is wrong.... to make a fair comparison. you actually need to clear the browser cache history and cookies before trying to launch the same website from each type of connection. having browser cache often cause stuffs to load faster. on top of that the type of connection and the quality of your router could make a difference to the entire wifi connection as well. so i dont find your comparison a valid one. just my humble opinion
