This set is the only one that features the first two original episodes uncut with english subtitles.
The first two episodes of Astro Boy were edited into one episode, completely removing the subplot of Atlas's origin. This later caused confusion for many audiences, as there were many references to Atlas's childhood in later episodes.
Here is the second episode, which ending could explain why it was censored in America...
