I had my first CND Shellac nails done. After two weeks I searched for another to REMOVE the shellac.
The salon LIED about having acetone to remove CND! My hands soaking in nail polish remover for 20 minutes when the shellac still would not come off, they pulled out the motorized rotary tool and SANDED my nail surface!! Not knowing what to expect, the removal process had stopped me from re-applying CND.
Thank you for the education!

I suggested you go back and ask them if they are really using shellac...
We have a lot of cheaper nails bar in Australia now doing shellac however they are substituting it for cheaper brands and the quality is just not there... The only other thing i could think it might be is if you have had your hands in contact with things that are very hot but that is just a stab in the dark...
I hope it all works out let us know how is goes...

Hi, thanks for the post...
Now the problem you are having with the shellac we have not come across in our salon before...
Shellac is cured by UV Light which means it is pretty fade resistant to things you come into contact with in your normal day life... I have heard of acrylics and other acrylic gels fading when women have used tanning beds etc but not with the shellac...

The "foil" method worked great! I found it best to do one hand at a time. My shellac lasted more than 14 days and through my vacation to Mexico last week... I just had too much nail growth and it started to look bad.
Thank you for your comments :)
