  • Just found this set of videos. My parents (The Mirs) were very good friends of Bill and Brenda. I played with Brian and Douglas in the swimming pool many times. Ian was just a baby then. I left Preston in 1958.

  • Cubans had a better standard of living, now? All look like homeless. They had good healthcare, now? Free, but shitty healthcare (Note: Fidel has doctors from Spain, to operate on him.), Education was on par with the US. Now? Free, but at the age of two they seperate child from milk, start indoctrination, children rat on their parents, and upon reaching a certain age, the child has to slave in the sun, cutting sugar cane for half the day.

  • Cuba was America's backyard and playground before 1959 and after the collapse of the soviet union in the 90's. Cuba is a secret playground and backyard for Americans and Puppet Fidel works for the CIA who smuggle cocaine from cuba to florida.

  • United Fruit=Genocide

  • ..oops! I just noticed that your father is British, not American.

  • Nice video. Apart from the family life, some interesting footage of the rebels and the battle damage (ca 2:10-4:00)!

I never much realized how initially, after the revolution, life just carried on, even for Americans in Cuba, for months!

  • The home-made bullet-proof vehicle shown here is a historical artifact

  • This film was shot in 1959, the begining of the end...
