A LARGE Coronal Mass Ejection occurred on Feb 24, 2010. Effects to possible hit earth Feb 27 or 28.

The 'Great Magnetic Filament' on the sun erupted Feb 24. Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) images bracket the eruption between 0719 UT and 1919 UT on Feb. 24th. The event did not produce a bright solar flare, as sometimes happens when filaments erupt, but there was a coronal mass ejection (CME). SOHO coronagraphs observed at least one and possibly as many as three clouds billowing away from the sun: movie. If any of this material is heading for Earth--a big unknown!--it would arrive on Feb. 27th or 28th. Arctic sky watchers should be alert for auroras on those dates.

The HAARP project aims to direct a 3.6 MW signal, in the 2.8-10 MHz region of the HF band, into the ionosphere. The signal may be pulsed or continuous. The continuous transmission is what is so worrisome to me. These transmissions are High frequency when they are sent, but become Low frequency upon reflection. Sustained Low frequency will cause instability. Tesla almost brought down a building using Low freq. sound waves.

With the greatest respect for the recently departed Dr. Berteli's scientific and humanitarian work, discussion of artificial earthquakes is definitely outside her areas of expertise. As several more recent commenters state, indirect application of HAARP energy bounced through the atmosphere could hardly initiate earthquakes. I agree, very inefficient way to cause earthquakes. The best you could do in my opinion would be to alter the geometry of atmospheric pressure. Nikola Tesla had a much better way to cause an earthquake.

All of this is correct.

It is about the most inefficient way to cause an earthquake though and 3.6 Mw gets you nowhere. Consider the inverse square law and the minimum distance the beam must travel to even reach the ionosphere.

If they wanted to cause earthquakes there are much more effective and precise ways for that.

I don't think they would, but this could be an accidental side effect of man made action.
