yes, he wrote a letter saying what a good catholic he considered himself to be. He never apologized for his abortion stance and even if he did he still didn't deserve such an elaborate ceremony where he is hailed as a "servant of God". These bishops have no reguard for the catholic faith.

You have actually committed gross scandal by questioning the Church's actions and implying error on a bishop's behalf. Kennedy was a public sinner. Public sin should require public repentence. At kennedy's funeral, they called him a "faithful catholic" and a "servant of God". Do believe this?

@999Thip You take a stand as a Christian but to make it Law in the USA might be very different. You can call out to other to listen but to make it Law might not even be legal. The US Supreme court legalized abortion. Roman 13 says to follow the governing authorities. I might not agree with a ruling but God asks us to follow the ruling authorities. I will not have an abortion and I am not gay, but I don't want laws that stop Gays from marriage since they need legal rights.

@999Thip Yes, you got it now Love the Sinner, and hate the sin. The correct verses is Romans 13:1-6. a good read as to why we follow who ever governs us with in the laws of God. Reason to pay taxes also. Some good ideas to why to trust the government in that God has appointed them.

@999Thip Dude I love you too. Just let it all wash by; you're getting way too angry about life. Chill: God loves us all and he just wants us to be kind. Christianity isn't a complicated faith - Love God, Love neighbour, be kind. That's why Christ tells us "The Kingdom of God is within you" - because it's easy to know that Kingdom. The Good Tree bears good fruit - if you're happy and at peace then you know you're following Christ. That's all there is to it, bud. Smile ! It's all good.
