Not an experineced pilot nor builder aparently. From what I can see, has what looks like about 10oz of lead stick on weight stuck to the engine mount. Engine looks to be about a .60 size - plenty of weight in the nose for that one, with out sticky lead weights added. Watching this vid from start too finish,definitely not experienced. It tells all too well what the problem was. Too bad, looked like a nice covering job,though I don't think this guy built it Smith Mini is NOT a 2nd airplane.

if he had a dead stick how could he didn't manage to land safely? he wasnt short of open space and runway. but by the way he made the take off ,or he is unexperienced or he doesn't know how to fly a model aircraft

Guy couldn't keep it running on the ground and chooses to take it up anyway, Got what he deserved. If it doesn't stay running on the ground why would it in the air, Obviously had a air leak in the fuel line with that pulsing of the engine.
