Yes, that was Sulu , which reminds me of the ressemblance between both captains, don´t you think?. Both of them were willing to give their lives for the safety of their crews if necessary. I am almost certain that Roddenberry inspired in the figure f the PT-109 captain to create his .it´s too evident the coincidence within the initials( J.K), haven´t you noticed?.Logical. The best captain ever whether on the PT or the nation. The likeness is bigger now, both in command of their ships at 26.

I saw this movie at the Air Force Academy Community center theatre when it came out. Really cool then and now. I wish I knew then what I know now. Me and JFK both sprouted out of Wexford Ireland and the navy and i did 1st grade at Wellfleet Mass elem.

Indeed BO is no JFK. In JFK's time the D's were very patriotic and always put defending our country first and foremost. They were definetly not "blame America first" wimps like their leaders (and especially BO) are today.
