  • @893160007 yeah, unless the NFL changes the rules after their "issues" this offseason. :)

  • @macky592

I think the defense one is only allowed in non NFL

  • @893160007 Ah so they do still have this rule. Better way to put it, but the second part is confusing me. It would be quite hard for the defense to get a safety on a PAT, not impossible. I think I know your thinking on this - defense intercepts ball on two point try and runs it back only to fumble the ball into and out of the endzone, right? Actually in the NFL the defense can't runback a intercepted, blocked or fumbled PAT or conversion.

  • @macky592

in NFL if the offence gets a saftey on a 2-point then they get 1 point, if the defence gets a saftey on any PAT (1 or 2) then they get 1 point

  • Actually there is a very rare and unknown rule in the NFL that allows for a single point or at least had. I'm not talking about a PAT, but a conversion safety.

Where on a Try holder team A's holder fumbles the ball and a player from Team B kicks, swats, bat or sends the ball into and out of the endzone. The ruling is a Safety, but only one point is awarded. The team that scored the touchdown would still kickoff as per after a regularly successful PAT.

Not sure if the NFL still has this rule.

  • @neoprankster Windsor, if a stadium could be built. Just a guess.

  • Bring back Ottawa and one new team in the Maritimes

  • @neoprankster there are still a few places that could get teams... Ottawa is closest to getting one, Moncton is #2 in line if they upgrade theirs, Quebec City has the population and interest but no stadium... after that it's fairly limited.

If the CFL expands there and gets bigger, slightly smaller cities or cities close to current (by then) teams could be considered in the long-term.... Halifax, Victoria and even Anchorage, Alaska might work. If that happens, the CFL would have 14 teams.

  • @neoprankster The problem is lack of stadiums. Nobody wants to fork over the cash to build more lol. :(

  • @DarthSchwartz Me too. Where in Canada would there be a team besides Ottawa?
