I feel bad to leave such a negative comment as you have obviously put the time into some interesting lyrics that approach the song in such an opposing way. But looking through these positive comments I feel as though I have to point out that you have disrupted a piece of art that has been both inspirational and humbling to me every time I listen to it. I personally think that Tom has butchered the original which far surpasses this version in every way. RIP Elliot Smith.
