I couldnt make it past the first 2 minutes. You people have the nerve to talk shit about their own uni.
1) If you cant stand it, Transfer TO NUS. There's still time. STOP FUCKING COMPLAINING. Your bitter attitude makes people like me, who cherish every moment and build our friends and memories in this school.
2)WAKE UP. India, China, Mexico, Vietnam etc are rising. And if you wanna party and not pay the price, forget about job security. Don't graduate to blame the 'foreigners' taking your jobs

but smoo sch spirit is really awesome. we are a force to be reckoned with. cherish it. love it. learn to accept it. you'll see where you'll fit in. give it a year. give it a chance. i miss smoo a lot

did you spend 40 hours in the school library alone or were there others with you. smu life really encouraged friendships. and built some life skills. i am not saying nus and ntu don't. i am just saying that we had more opportunities. our school life is what pushes us. if you feel the competition, step out of it. those who want good grades and a good life, then the time is in your hands. plan it well. our school culture may seem a little off to the new entries.

i am speaking as an ex smu-undergrad. lets be honest people. the changes started happening after the population grew. i joined the year smoo moved to the new campus. i loved my time there and everyone knew each other. thats something SIS students get to enjoy. but i hear even they are taking in almost 200 students. smoo is different. trust me. as someone doing my masters in US, i know. our lot is generally prepared for anything.

I am currently enlisting into NS. I have applied for SMU business and have gotten the interview. I felt strongly about getting into SMU becuz of the marketing that SMU is different, in the sense that it is more vocal and people are more out-going. However, checking out this video and many other forums online. I am serious in doubts now. Especially if the president of the student union is supporting this call that SMU is not the place to be

Hi, to be fair, year 4s and alummni are telling me how much they loved their SMU life and what a difference it made to them. They truly believe in SMU.
I agree that the freshmen are getting used to new uni life, their attitudes change almost every week. But in the 3 years in the city campus, the culture has not gotten 'better', rather, i think its obviously 'worse' in year 1 now.
