Although this is an interview with Mr Clapton with only excerpts of songs (notably "Layla" from the MTV Unplugged album), WMG claimed copyrights and YouTube blocked the clip. For that reason, I had to replace the original audio track with a new one offered by YouTube. So enjoy the new track and especially the video image of Mr Clapton!

The audio track is from Garrick Davis and the song is called GD Blues. Mr Davis actually has an YouTube account which is: http://www.youtube.com/user/garrickdavis.

Part I of the mini documentary on the making of the 1994 blues album From the Cradle. Mr Clapton would subsequently record Riding with the King (with B. B. King) and a tribute to Robert Johnson: Me and Mr. Johnson.

In this documentary Mr Clapton talks in his typically frank and modest way about the road which lead him to record this album and what music means to him.

From the Cradle won the 1995 Grammy Award for Best Traditional Blues Album. It was also nominated for Album Of The Year.

  • I just started listening to this, and it sounds like Frank Zappa,or someone trying to sound like him! It's not Frank but whoever it is,likes Zappa! it's lacking to much abstractness to be Zappa.
