Is Cope Stephen Colberts twin or am I out of my mind?

When does the next one come out? I love it when pettiness is unmasked for what it really is. And our southern, bible belt, traditionally surfaced, culture needs to either laugh at it or read some Flannery O'connor.

Yes, Isaac was called "he laughs" which was "God's joke" when Sarah disbelieved God's promise. Yes, wholesome humor is good. Yet, defenders of this video with irreverent parts, seem to not to be able to recognize that making fun of a sacred themes is typical of liberal, loose attitude toward the sacred things of God.

Will just say it again: this kind of humor is wonderful. Jesus would like it! It clearly comes from one who loves his heritage. It's a sign of health to be able to laugh at yourselves. It's a sign of family dysfunction to take such humor as threatening. But then, this is a "family" with a wee bit of dysfunction!!

James, how do you know Jesus would like it? What verse are you referencing? This is typical liberal subjective theorizing. Liberals know little of the fear of the Lord.

when your only framework for understanding "worship" is 4 or 5 a capella songs on a Sunday morning, yeah, that subculture needs to be deconstructed. and in this case, deconstruction can be fun. so let's not get our religious panties in a wad, my Pharisaical friends...
and don't give me this Greek mumbo jumbo like you're unearthing something new.

Refutation by ridicule and name calling proves nothing. Fact is, "foolish talk" (Gr. morologia lit. "words of a moron") is defined as "buffonery" (Strong) or "silliness" (Trench). Such is irreverent at anytime.
