Dear Mike....please keep your day job! ; )

I seriously doubt that up until the 1800's (CofC established etc.) those with instrumental music are actually burning as a result.
-
The old lines of Pharisaical intimidation and scare-tactics are some of the reasons most CofC congregations are shrinking and pushing people out, not very inviting. Christ used the love-approach, not the fear approach.

Favorited! My fave is "Low in the Gravy Lay." And, of course, nothing beats Randy Harris' "where?"
-
They do look vaguely similar! I never noticed that before...

Love the line "the goofy theology in the lyrics" . Often have wondered how much of our beliefs about things, especially things like Heaven, come from the songs rather than the Bible. Considering more time is probably spent in singing than in reading and hearing the Bible, hmm....

When does the next one come out? I love it when pettiness is unmasked for what it really is. And our southern, bible belt, traditionally surfaced, culture needs to either laugh at it or read some Flannery O'connor.
Is Cope Stephen Colberts twin or am I out of my mind?
