I think the CVT on in acts as a clutch, it's just idling too high for it to let go.

Love the rectangular rear axle idea... is it stronger. What is harder to deal with when using a square axle?

There is two more video's of this buggy first and second test ride if u want to check them out, Its almost 100% complete at this point, just gotta put new tires on, I will do a walk around video sometime soon

Im In the process of making an off road buggy and i was wondering if you used and AT or MT because Mine is MT and im not sure how to hook up the gear and clutch system. i might just switch to AT to avoid this problem but if you know how i'd appreciate some advice

Well, I cant really tell you much, my step dad built this buggy, however what i do know is that the whole entire engine and drive train where removed from a early 90's snowmobile, its still pretty much the same set up, besides changes in the gears, so i guess it would very well depend upon your application, Where is your motor and drive train coming from?
