Actually, I have very little faith in my government, especially the way it has been run the last few decades. If you even read what I wrote, I never said anything about the government of the US. I merely wrote about all the prisoners, guilty or otherwise, that are in America's prisons.

Second, The Geneva rules of war dont apply to an enemy with no uniform. We don't torture. We aggressively interrogate the worst. The US has release many from Guantanamo after we were convinced that they were not a threat. Of course if the terrorists would do little things like wear uniforms, treat prisoners properly, and avoid murdering non-combatants, have a chain of command, there would be a little more chance for us to win the war and then release the prisoners after their command surrendered.
