@CocteauDalighari "I thought it was interesting that Nina Simone did a sort of answer to “Revolution.” That was very good–it was sort of like “Revolution,” but not quite. That I sort of enjoyed, somebody who reacted immediately to what I had said." -John Lennon, 1971
At that time Lennon was bitter about a lot of stuff, so the literal translation of "I sort of enjoyed" is "I f*cking loved it!"

@jpsa5 I agree with you about that ... the evil will have to end!

John Lennon told Rolling Stone in 1970 that he liked this & saw it as sort of a response, an answer to his song.

@lilatapia instead of judging me without knowing NOTHING about me, you could check my channel here in youtube, and maybe check some things out, see some videos of WHAT I´m talking about, but it is evident that it is not your priority to LEARN about somebody, but to quick judgement on them, I supose...I hope I´m wrong, I invite to my channlelm I put a lot of information FREE of dogmas, for expandind awareness, that´s my only interest, I´m from México and I call it CONCIENCIA PLENA=FULL AWARENESS

@lilatapia I really do not understand what you expect me to answer, I´m completly honest here, I´m following no lead, only my own, and I´m being judged for that too? that´s ok, everyone does the same, they don´t SEE the world as it is, or the people as they are...we only see WHAT WE ARE. I see revolution because since I was a little girl I was revolutionary, I still am,I love doing this, I love all people that hears me...and I love you also, just because I want to love everybody, like it or not.

@lilatapia "Nothing, nothing, nothing".. Nothing will come of nothing. It seems like you've fully succeeded in "CLEaNinG YOur BRaiN", and nothing interesting has happened with it after that. I assume your language skills have been stored on some external device for backup purposes. Well, keep up with your revolution thing then - whatever. I really did not mean to go all "ad hominem" on you here, but I just cant see (ok, probably just don't rly want to) the other way of talking to you after all.

NOBODY can label me... I´m NOTHING BUT ME. No label can put WHAT I AM and where I come from... MY HEART.

@erghtrfgh No religions, no dogmatics, I´m not following NOBODY and no idea but mine: freedom of speach, freedom of traitor governments in the world, I speak about the realities in MY REGION, the same as she did in HER REGION... I DO NOT come from that "ego" BS you say... I supose you see that, beacuse of the crap YOU have in your mind,,, to revolution YOU HAVE TO CLEAN YOUR BRAIN... or you will never see above your nose... NOTHING like you said, NOTHING aplies to what I´m saying.
Nina's version reflects the actual revolutionary view of someone actively involved in struggle. The Beatles' lyrics oppose revolutionary change and reflect their position (at that stage) as wealthy white guys divorced from the real world. Then, as now, it's about human liberation: something much bigger than air pollution (or climate change).
Here's hoping the spirit underlying Nina's "Revolution" will be revived soon.

This woman DID swim the ocean, and she DID communicate. More to the point, she DOES communicate.
