This tutorial will show you how I've set up my windows 7 video folders to be accessed on the network by my WDTV Live Media player. I'd had quite a few problems getting this working it turned out that the password I was using had special characters in it which the WDTV Live did not work with. After creating a new user with an alphanumeric password and sharing with that user the problem was solved. I have to say I do love this gadget!

  • You're the best! Works perfectly with my Samsung BD-P3600 and Windows 7.

    THANK YOU!!

  • 4 words i have to you:

    YOU ARE THE KING !!!

  • It worked for me. Thank you! I had to set the sharing settings both public and private to the following in Windows 7: My settings are:

    "Turn Off Network Discovery"

"Turn On file and printer sharing"

    "Turn off public folder sharing"

Then follow your tutorial, and everything is working. My FLAC files are even being recognized and played on my stereo as well. Thank you!
