  • it is a regular db9

  • "DB9s", as in the plural of "DB9". Don't confuse it with the DBS.

  • I think your talking about that vantage with a V12 engine. It doesnt replace the current vantage it's just a quicker version. I didnt know that was official though, thought it was just a concept

  • Your grammar is really weird. But are you speaking of the Aston Martin V12 Vantage RS with 600bhp that's coming out in '09?

  • you look at my comment too

  • ok... you both know a little TOO MUCH about the car lol. But the car aston martin is coming out with AFTER the DBS has a name on the back (it's suppsoed to replace the vantage) now what's on the back of the car is that what they're going to name it or is that another way to fool people? At first I thought it was just the dbs and she had made a mistake in words but it's supposed to be 530hp and I know the dbs is 510..LEMME KNOW!

  • I don't think so. Knowing Aston Martin, they wouldn't have had a 9 in the DBS name. They only keep numbers the same if the car is based on similar number of components, like the chassis. The DBS is built from the ground up, thus it's not related to the DB9. The only component they have in common is the engine block, which itself has also been heavily revised.

  • Project Kahn do a kit for the DB9 for owners who want a bit more DBS about there car without encuring the cost of it, which is called DB9S. Infact, perhaps that was one of the reasons they descided to simply plump for DBS in the end.

  • I think DB9S would violate the Aston Martin nomenclature. Sure, you could have DB9 S (a la Vanquish S), but I doubt they'd ever make a DB9S.

  • I can pretty much guarentee without even lookin at it, its refering to the movie. Nothing was officially said about the name of the road going dbs untill WAY after the movie. We all knew, there was one coming, but we didnt know what its specific name would be (DBS, DB9S, DBRS9 or watever else you care to mention).

  • Go to Aston Martin's website, go to The Company, go to News, and there's a press release dated the 4th of May, 2006. It announces the name of the new DBS.

  • No they hadnt, they said there would be a road going DBS released to the public, they never said what that was finially going to be called at that point.
