Experts puzzled by undersea quakes

There have been more than 600 quakes over the past 10 days in a basin 150 miles southwest of Newport, Oregon. The biggest was a magnitude 5.4, and two others were more than magnitude 5.0, O.S.U. has said. A few days after this document there was a volcano eruption in Columbia and an unusual earthquake of magnitude 5.2 in the Midwest. No, it shortened them. The massive 8.8 earthquake that struck Chile may have changed the entire Earth's rotation and shortened the length of days on our planet, a NASA scientist said. In a magnetic pole shift the iron core of the earth would shift, which could cause very strong quakes. There does appear to be more earthquakes happening with increasing frequency.

Haha everyone is readying the yahoo news. I don't know about 33 degrees. We would see rapid weather changing. NASA did not say that the chile quake shifted the poles 33 degrees off its axis. Their explaining the figure axis is the axis around which the Earth's mass is balanced. It is offset from the Earth's north-south axis by about 33 feet (10 meters). LOL
