Test video taken with a Canon Powershot A560 of the moon passing through the field of view of a 127mm Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope with a 10mm eyepiece. Camera was mounted on a digiscoping adapter (which explains the slight vignetting on one side and the odd angle - there's only a few ways that it will fit safely on the 10mm eyepiece without fouling the 'scope). Moon was half full, and - as can be heard by my cough - it was a cold night!

  • Amazing....thanks...

  • Nice job showing, the Moon is just over 10 billion cubic miles in volume or just under 2 percent of the volume of the Earth.

The Moon is just over or roughly 30 Earths away.
