And the bad news is that Don Angle just died of cancer a few days ago. I don't know the details, but that turned up through the harpsichord grapevine. So it's good that this is up here.

Pity on the loss of Don, I am a big fan of his, but, perhaps he's jamming with Sir George (Shearing) now. :)

When Don passed away, we lost someone special! I've loved all his interpretations on the harpsichord. He truly showed that the harpsichord can be as alive today as it was back in the Baroque era. This video is a treasure!

Such a loss. I met Don Angle once and he was a truly gracious man. And don't forget that he was a harpsichord builder in William Dowd's shop, too.

I work for the company that distributes Don Angle's CDs (on the Afka label). I only now found out about his passing! His harpsichord version of the BeeGees' "Stayin' Alive" is one of my favorite "novelty" performances!!

Donaled Angle (second and last player)! What a great guy! I've been lucky enough to hear him playing in a private concert a few years ago in Paris. He's definitely amazing.
