You can also catch a sneak peak of the Mothership in some new textured glory (I'm happy with it, what do you think?). You'll have to excuse the dodgy depth buffering for the translucent effects. The draw order for some of the effects (smoke, planet mist, etc) does need adjusting. Camera needs some work as well. Speed and fluidity are key game play mechanics for this game. Hope to try a port to 360 soon to see if performance is maintained. I use a grossly over powered quad core alienware PC set-up for development(!) ... Anyway, I've still go at least two alien types to do (Lander and Mutant) from the arcade classic this game is loosely based on. Feeling confident that game will be ready for dream build play 2009 and XNA community games. If there is time, I hope to get the Dax from Tail Gun Charlie in on the action (bonus levels) as well.
