Two recent flights at Palmer Station, Antarctica, showing ski-equipped Twin Otter landings and take-offs from the skiway on the glacier behind station. Palmer Station is one of three permanent United States research facilities in Antarctica (part of the United States Antarctic Program under the National Science Foundation), and is located on Gamage Point, Anvers Island, off the West Antarctic Peninsula just north of the Antarctic Circle.
