  • I personally think that all of Tibets suffering is to reveal to the entire world that China is a bad country and should be boy cotted, stop trading, stop every known money making business with them and they will no longer have power to play games with other worthy Country's and Officials left in this world.....

  • Richard Gere is voicing his concerns to help Tibetians from anialation, Government officials of all other Country's are China's pawns, Money keeps them Politicians from intervening,

  • Maybe Richard Gere can speak out against the USA for wiping out most of the Native Indian races in America. Lands all over the world have been conquered by people of different religions and languages. Asking China to give up Tibet is like asking White Americans to give up USA to the Native Americans.

I think the Tibetan army might have been about 8000 strong. There is footage of the Tibetan army on youtube.

Tibet had an army, but is was very small compared to the communist invaders. I'm pretty sure Tibetans were poorly equipped as well because Tibetan leaders didn't see the threat coming.

If Tibet had a police force it was very small because apparently the army handled crime, when there was any.

    .

Before Tibet was invaded in 1949 Tibetan life revolved around a series of colourful religious festivals, taking up 68 days of the year.

  • @bixby2000

The Uyghur struggle for freedom is different to the Tibetan struggle for freedom. I've tried to make contact with Uyghurs in my country, but its possible there aren't any.

    .

On your channel you have "Sometimes I dream that I commit the greatest Theft of all the times"

Do you know that Tibet is a stolen country, and could be the crime of last century ???

  • SO WHEN IT'S ABOUT TIBET, AND WHEN IT'S RICHARD GERE, IT'S OK TO SAY THAT PEOPLE SUFFER.

but when it's Uygur people, maybe they don't have the right trendy religion... YOu Tube use its might to take videos away of people crying out !

Please, do something ! sorry. Did not want to spam, but really, I envy Tibetans for their Richard Gere.

  • i would luv to ask the dalai lama why tibet had no army to offer any deterrence. china was wrong to invade but tibet not to have an army is ridiculous.

  • @frednolasco And what gave you the impression to give such hollow arguments? Critics in the West have been crossing their fingers for years for a "revolution" in China; but they have been wrong again and again. Most of these "bright intellectuals" you are talking about reside overseas, hoping that Western-style government, politics and institutions will be dominant in China. An evolution is needed, not a revolution.
