New York Film Academy - Short 4: The Gunslingers

This, I think, is the best film I made while at NYFA. It has a nice flow/pace to it, and everything works in reveals. Only two things bug me with this film. I think the music really dampers the movie, (in other words, I thought the movie was better than the music), but that is the kind of music you get when you have no money to spend. (The rights to the music cost me $5.00). Also, I studied dramatic films too much at that time, and just when there needed to be an action sequence at the end of the movie, I blew it. I felt the "final fall" wasn't portrayed well. Ah well, I suppose I live and learn. But please enjoy this film. I really poured my heart into it!

Wow that's really good! I am really into animation, which includes making my own videos and series and such. I plan on going there in college. Just right up my alley!

i made a search on youtube for short films nyfa and i browsed around before getting yours. It's a cool one. If you search "no pain no gain nyfa" you'll see mine... i am also looking for buying a 16mm camera, but without success yet. Maybe harder to find that stuff in europe. How didi you get yours?

Quite an impressive display of a story told through reveals. All the reveals all so subtle yet profound at the same time. Redemption from our past crimes is always possible, and I'm glad that you told it so effectively here. While it's hard to pick a favorite among your films, I would say that this is my favorite. Great work!
