Noah Scott Koning

This is the video shown at Noah Scott Koning's memorial service Dec 16, 2006. He was diagnosed with Meckel-Gruber Syndrome in utero at 15 weeks. They knew this diagnosis would be fatal as the lungs are underdeveloped with this condition due to a lack of amniotic fluid. Doctors said he would not survive birth. My friend Kristin chose to carry to term. He was born December 14, 2006, at 34 weeks and defied the odds living 1 hour and 46 minutes. He was held and loved by his parents and grandparents his entire life. I got to meet Noah and took photos of his entire miraculous life for Mike & Kristin. What an amazing little boy he was! We love him and miss him. Kristin asked me to post this in hopes it will encourage other mothers experiencing the loss of a child and so we can all remember Noah.

I'm sorry for your loss. I deeply understand Noah's parents pain. 2years ago I lost triplets. I'm sure that those few moments together will never be erased from your hearts. May God gives you the comfort, as he has done with us, still we'll continue to grieve as parents, and our love would never stop for those precious babies... But continue to trust in Him.

i lost twins Dean and Amy at 24 weeks both to Meckel Gruber Syndrome in 2001, i am led to beleive the children who live with it sont have the same syndrome but god bless them all x

Thank you for sharing this. What a precious baby angel.! I am so sorry for your loss. My mom lost my sister Victoria Ann to Meckel Gruber 2 days after birth 28 years ago and never have I come across another person who even knew what this was.
