The Finnish state owned enterprise Metsähallitus has cut old-growth forest. The cutting was guarded by the wilderness inspector of Metsähallitus. Activists tried to prevent this from happening but didn't succeed because of violent oriented harvester driver, see: http://www.youtube.com/LLmetsaryhma
Metsähallitus was informed about the situation but decided not to stop the loggings. Instead Metsähallitus destroyed valuable forest are which will never be the same again.
The forest are is situated in Riuska, Suomussalmi, in Norte-East Finland. The area has been a subject of NGO campaigning for years already since it's one of the last remaining pieces of old-growth forest outside protected areas on state land. About 4-5 % of forest land in Finland is semi-natural forests and half of these are still not under protection.
Congrats you scum fuck.
