I wonder if the Secret Service really does hassle and thoroughly search a US Senator visiting the White House.
My guess is the agent says, "Yes sir, Senator. The President has been expecting you and will be with you shortly."
But I like to think they give everybody the same treatment and frisks even a well-known leader of Congress.

what comparison? he says the secret service is reassessing its security procedures, and may have to take stern measures. considering this, the shoe "thrower", and biden's detail getting into traffic crashes two weeks in a row, it is a completely reasonable guess.

If it was a Black couple they would not have been allowed in. Look at what happened in NYC when Oprah tried to shop - would not let her in the store. Danny Glover could not get a taxi. Many of us can not get taxi's - even in Vegas! It must be great to be white in America for the moment.

Yeah the security slip is not to be played down only looked at and corrected. I am saying it was not terrorism, it was a neglectful mistake that needs to corrected. That said I stand by my comment that it was a bad comparison.

Well, just because it ended up being harmless prank, doesn't mean that it's not a serious security issue to be dealt with.
If somebody with harmless intentions can slip in.
Then somebody with harmful intentions could also slip in.
That said, the rhetoric is wrong mostly thematically, not factually. Just in general, you want to avoid referencing terrorism in association with the president. It's a matter of tact.

Well, I'm a democrat.
And I agree it was a bad comparison.
That said a breach of security is a breach of security. Even if it ended up being benign.
Made ever more important by this fact:
When the left gets mad at a president. They threaten impeachment.
When the right gets mad as a president. They threaten assassination.
