  • Revisited is a (with respect) barbeque - band... CCR is a Superband. EVERY part from this band is so unique that made them to superstars. Without one of them they will be a barbeque - band. RIP Tommy

  • @brainnumber2 so true. people don't realize how great this rhythm section. so simple, so locked in so great.

fogerty never sounded this good again. anywhere. i've tried to find something, but no. fogerty wrote great songs but the original 4 together hammered them home, with the muscular simplicity which is much more elusive than you would think.

  • @bigwatto95 But, he wouldn't get the same sound, but right: no Creedence without Fogerty, but his not Creedence alone.

  • @TeamMastaPr2 John Fogerty could have recorded the songs himself. As he did on the Blue Ridge Rangers, where he played all the instruments himself. My point is, there is no Creedence without Fogerty.

  • @brainnumber2 Sorry, I was thinking of Premonition, where he played Creedence songs, but that was '98. As for the quality, I think some of his solo stuff is ten times better than some of the Creedence stuff. But that's a matter of opinion. You have yours and I have mine. Yeah, sure, Stu and Doug contributed, but Foggo wrote the songs, and sang them, so, yes, to me, John Fogerty WAS Creedence Clearwater Revival.

  • @bigwatto95 John Fogerty was not playing Creedence songs or any songs live in 1995, when this video was made. He hadn't toured since 1986 when he refused to play Creedence songs. You and others like to say John WAS Creedence, but he has never equaled the quality of songs he wrote in the Creedence days. So the other 3 guys in Creedence contributed a little more than you give them credit for.

  • @bigwatto95 John Fogerty wrote them it's true, but there would be no Creedence without the other 3 who partipicated musically (as a rhythm section).

  • They say that you couldn't see these Creedence songs played live, but what about John Fogerty? Fogerty was and is playing Creedence songs live. He wrote them, he basically WAS Creedence. They're HIS songs. Stu Cook and Doug Clifford were just there to make up the numbers.

  • @TeamMastaPr2 yes that is what I thought at first too lol :D

  • que buenos brazos tiene doug clifford
