This is a demonstration of the t.c. electronic Nova Delay ND-1 which is a very versatile digital delay.

Edit: Thanks to StephanRNielsen I've learned you CAN store tap tempo's simpy by holding down the 'type' button.
Thanks a lot!

  • You can store a specific tempo in a preset on the Nova Delay. Hold "type" button to switch between "global/preset" tempo. If the preset-button blinks then you have preset-tempo (like DL-4) - if it is steady it is "global" (shared tempo between presets). DL-4 can't share tempo between presets and you can't tap tempo in bypass mode. On the Nova Delay, the "Manual mode"-setting is always "global" tempo.

  • Yes, we know. It has been said before. Read the description:

"Edit: Thanks to StephanRNielsen I've learned you CAN store tap tempo's simpy by holding down the 'type' button.

    Thanks a lot!"

  • @DemoColorScheme what r u settings for the delay at 2:06. if you can please give me all the settings please

  • @DReidGuitars

I sold this unit 2 years ago. Obviously, I don't have any settings anymore. Sorry.

  • how does the nova delay compare to the dl4?

  • The Nova IS much smaller than the DL-4 and can hold 9 different delays while the DL-4 can just hold 3.

I just sold my Nova because I bought a TimeFactor which is whole other step up.

  • @DemoColorScheme I think it'd be beneficial for you to add an annotation in the video at about 1:05 that says "it does allow the tempo to be stored with the presets" or something to that effect. It may reduce the amount of comments you get about this because unfortunately not everyone reads the descriptions. Just a suggestion from one someone with videos on youtube as well. Cheers!

  • Pff .. two completely different units? You should research them on the internet, try them out or read some reviews.

I can describe some basic stuff, like saying that the Nova can hold up to 9 presets but basically is 1 delay that you can shape; the analog/digital/tape knob [tone] does shape the delays differently but as you know, the DL-4 can do more, has different sorts of delays and has a looper as well.

  • Try to try them out both? To each his own, of course. I personally prefer the Eventide TimeFactor. I've sold the Nova Delay.

  • ok..nice demo.but om deciding between nova delay and boss dd-20? anyone can help me decide..pls.thnks
